Don't Scrap It, Overhaul It.
In our disposable world the assumption is often made that like most other technologies and equipment, the useful life of a compressor is only a few limited years until it needs to be replaced.
Every compressor eventually requires rebuilding to regain full performance. Scorpion Compressed air service technicians can meet your needs using innovative rebuild or exchange programs. We maintain and service compressors that are decades old; more importantly we can keep them operating at optimum efficiency.
Airend Exchange Program
Reliability, performance and availability are the main reasons customers prefer the Rotary Compressor Airend Exchange Program. This program supports oil-flooded screw compressors.
Planned airend exchanges are less costly and eliminate unscheduled interruptions to your operations and provide the most economical maintenance program for rotary compressors. The Airend Program is a three-tier solution structure. When a rotary compressor airend needs to be replaced, there are three potential choices:
1. New Airend - credit for existing return
2. Remanufactured Airend - short lead time
3. Airend Rebuild Kit* - rebuild at our facility
With normal operation of a compressor, your rotating assembly will attract a build up of solids on thrust side of the airend. This build up can result in an increase in vibration on the bearings on both drive & non drive bearings the compressor.
The level of acceptable vibration varies among models of compressors, however the vibration increases the probability of nuisance trips or premature failure of the bearings increases. Failures of this type can be very costly if replacement of the part is required.
To keep your compressor performing at its full potential, we offer bearing vibration monitoring. By taking advantage of this OEM repair service during routine maintenance, owners can continue to use their original rotor assemblies for an indefinite period of time.
